Assignment:
|
A pipe was required to transport fuel at a filling station. In addition to numerous regulations, temperature resistance was a highly important factor here. As temperatures in Kuwait can rise well beyond 40°C - making the asphalt extremely hot - the pipe had to be heat-resistant as well as diffusion-proof.
The temperatures also influence the expansion of the pipe.

Solution:

To accommodate the high temperatures, an LPG pipe was used; its helically corrugated special steel inner pipe met these requirements precisely. The inner pipe is self-compensating and can absorb the expansion with no major problems. It is also possible to fit the pipes with a leakage monitoring system.
