To increase safety in supply tunnels, it was specified that all high- power lines must have additional protection. The hazards include fire, possible external physical damage and faults, and it also had to be ensured that persons could come to no harm. Length of cable affected: approx. 3 km

Solution:

NIROFLEX® DN 80 and DN 100 were used to retain the flexibility of the high-power lines, and to ensure the required safety. Several attributes favour NIROFLEX® in this case: it is non-combustible, very stable, flexible and non-magnetic.
