Joint competence in piping systems:

Brugg Pipe Systems completes its range with German Pipe.

Brugg Pipe Systems (Brugg Rohrsysteme) has acquired a majority holding in German Pipe, a company based in Nordhausen (Thuringia). As a result, German quality and Swiss precision have been united under the umbrella of the Brugg Group. The two companies have pooled their broad range of expertise, and can now bring their specific strengths to the fore. KE KELIT acts as the minority shareholder, and takes on the role of exclusive distributor for KMR in Austria.
Brugg Pipe Systems is a supplier of hot and cold piping systems, and industrial pipelines, whilst German Pipe is an acknowledged specialist for plastic-sheathed pipes. The two companies share core values: reliability, quality, promptness and flexibility. Their corporate philosophies are congruent too. The prime focus is on customer-specific projects and systems – flexible and comprehensive solutions which are fully supported, from advice and planning through to the assembly and installation of monitoring systems.

German Pipe is a young, high-performance company which in just a few years has made a good name for itself, above all with local authorities and public utilities, and achieving certification under several standards as a specialist in heat and cold distribution. For this reason, the brand will be continued following the company’s integration into the Brugg Group. The phrase ‘A Company of the BRUGG Group’ now features in the logo. The founders will continue to play an active role in the company, with Georg Weidinger taking on the management of the works in Nordhausen, whilst his son Michael Weidinger becomes Marketing Director at Brugg Rohrsysteme GmbH Deutschland. The new Chairman of the Management Board at German Pipe is Jürg Arnold, the former Sales Director at Brugg Rohrsysteme GmbH Deutschland. Worldwide distribution is handled by Brugg Pipe Systems; the minority shareholder KE KELIT is responsible for the Austrian market.
In future German Pipe will concentrate wholly on manufacture. With its 100,000 m2 site, very modern plant and its own rail connection, the capacity of the works allows efficient and customer-specific production. For customers this means swift and reliable delivery, high quality and attractive pricing.
The takeover of German Pipe sees Brugg Pipe Systems strengthen its position on the global market as a leading supplier of flexible and comprehensive solutions for the transportation of heat and cold.
